In case you hadn't heard, Xenu is like the Scientology version of Satan. The evil overlord of the Galactic Confederacy who, 75 million years ago, sent billions of aliens to Earth to be killed by blowing them up inside volcanoes. The souls of those dead aliens attached themselves to our ancient ancestors and are the cause of all our problems and fears to this day. Of course, you only get to hear all this once you've reached the top of the Church, but the story has leaked through ex-members and court documents. Here's how it all went down. (Or if you'd prefer, the South Park version.) Don't worry too much about the evil lord Xenu causing any more galactic genocide however, he is currently locked in an ice prison on a far off planet. Maybe we should campaign for his release...
